Walhalla Chapter, NSDAR

Walhalla, South Carolina
NO NATION HAS GROWN GREAT AND STRONG, WHEN WOMEN WERE NOT STRONG AND GREAT.
- DR. JAMES D. RAMSEY, 1863

The Walhalla Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), is a group of vibrant women dedicated to the ideals of patriotism, preservation of American history and historical sites, and education of America’s children. We are a non-political organization open to all women who can prove lineal descent from a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War. Our chapter founded and currently co-sponsors a golf tournament to support Tamassee DAR School, supports BabyRead in Oconee County, sponsors a Memorial Day program in conjunction with the Oconee Office of Veterans Affairs, supports a local no-kill shelter, a local children's hospital, and Wreaths Across America. Explore our website. You will find the history of our chapter and of our area of South Carolina, our list of Patriot ancestors, and information about the state society and the National Society.
